Kolmården station is in Krokek by Bråviken. The zoo is a separate destination requiring planned onward travel from the train. [1] [2]
Kolmården station is in Krokek, about 10 kilometres from the zoo. For onward travel to the main entrance, the bus stop is called Djurparken; check the connection with Östgötatrafiken for your visiting day. [1]
On the section from Krokek towards Norrköping, the railway follows the northern side of Bråviken. The water is therefore a useful landmark when continuing west from Kolmården. [2]
In 2000 the railway station was brought back into use under the name Kolmården and moved south of the old station in Krokek. [3]
