Vislanda station combines the present main line with the legacy of an older narrow-gauge junction. [1]
Regional and replacement buses use Vislanda centrum west of the railway. Ticket machines are inside the shelters on both platforms; track 1 has ramp access and track 2 is reached by the footbridge with a lift. [1]
Vislanda became a junction when the narrow-gauge railway from Karlshamn arrived in 1874 and the line towards Bolmen opened in 1878. An older peat-fuel plant began to be used for scrapping railway equipment in the early 1930s. [2]
