Laxå is a railway junction whose Värmland Line connections lie east of the town, and whose first station building was moved to another station. [1]
The Värmland Line joins the Western Main Line through a triangle east of Laxå. Trains can therefore take different routes through the junction; check that your chosen journey actually calls at Laxå. [1]
Laxå’s first station building was wooden and followed the same design as the building in Gnesta. According to SJ’s historical account, it was moved to Sörby in 1867 and replaced at Laxå by a masonry building. [2]
